She left the world not changed from how she entered
Still innocent
Still born
Still with peace and love in her heart
Still forever loved in her containment
She entered this world an angel
And left her crumbled spirit in our midst
Still missing her lovliness
Still missing her beauty
Still an angel in my heart
Thanks to Sharla for introducing me to Free Write Friday hosted by Kellie Elmour
It truly did present a challenge because of the instructions to free write and not edit. It’s a good way to start off my week (late as is my usual these days).

powerful, exquisite writing lesley! love, Linda
Lesley, so touching…sad but very beautiful! So glad you stopped by catnip and joined the challenge! Look forward to many, many more:>)
This was so touching and left a lump in my throat as i have had three miscarries so, I relate so much to this sort of pain. I do not know what the sex of my babies were but the last time, I was far enough along that we thought it would be safe to have hope and pick names. My daughter would have been named Eve. This reminded me of her. Thank you so much. Happy to have you join us for FWF and contribute such a beautiful piece. ♥
Hope to have you back soon.
My heart felt condolences to you on your losses. My daughter’s name is Eva so I experienced quite a shock and a big intake of breath along with tears when I read your comment. It is times like this that compound my beliefs of an all knowing universe. Thanks Kellie, for sharing and for coming by to meet me
The pleasure was sincerely all mine. Happy to meet you. ♥
With warm regards… xox
Beautiful
Merci cheri
Oh lovely lovely poem. This prompt had me in a spiral as I am missing my daughter as well. Don’t think I am writing for this one.
Yes Len the image is daunting. Perhaps when you are less in a spiral the right words will come to sooth you. Feeling for you.
Tears in my eyes… this is beautiful, Lesley.
Thanks Marion. I am touched.
