The Seagull is known in most cultures as a Spiritual Messenger 
I came across Yunus on Facebook and was immediately attracted to his work initially because of our shared love of Istanbul and other places in Turkey. For those who don’t know me my first love is Istanbul – it attracts me like no other city in the world. I still maintain that I must have spent amazing years there in other lives 🙂
 

Today I am sharing a portion of his portfolio dedicated to Seagulls in Istanbul. Yunus obviously Loves these birds. To him they are representations of freedom and a city he loves. 

I am not a big bird lover, at all, what-so-ever-and-a-day… especially the vulturesque seagulls.  When I go Clearwater Beach, Florida they raid the sand and dive-bomb kids, chip bags. They crap on people (yes it was good luck since you asked) and cut out the peaceful sound of the ocean’s lapping with their high pitched squeals…. BUT I appreciated them in Instanbul where they float and fly with passion; where their voices blend to give the listeners a song to remind them of where they are. Go Figure! The brain is indeed a seriously complex object. 
 Yunus is a true artist to me. Why? Because in my definition an Artist is a generous soul with a desire to share holding the belief that by sharing their art they are connecting with like-minded souls which is what defines the true intention of art. He has given me carte-blanche with all of his photos… and I thank him with my own heart as I now have another treasure hoard to dip into at my leisure. How blessed I am to have come across so many warm and giving artists ♥
His Intention: My intention is to reach infinity in the photography industry

His Personal Goal : Every photo I capture must be better than the previous one. My philosophy is continuous improvement.
His Wants :I want to specialize in portraits of people, but I want to photograph everything I see too.

His Commitment: I will not commit to a fixed direction so I can keep refreshing myself for better performance.

His Future: After I see myself as a photographer, I will begin with the stories of my captured photos.
His Meaning: For me, photography is a story about what I want to tell…
