Sometimes life gives us surprises and disappointments where we feel we have reached the end of the road.
but then …
Sometimes the end of one road leads us to another, similar, because inherently we have not changed even though our circumstances have….and all the struggles are filed or forgotten as we put our energies into opening up and travelling that other road.
with a different purpose and view…
A road filled with a fertile life, rich with colour, bountiful with wisdom, focus, balance and happiness.
Wisdom begins at the end.
Daniel WebsterWisdom begins in wonder.
SocratesWisdom is knowing what to do next; virtue is doing it.

yes – I agree. It is one that I could not find the true owner for. Wishing I was there to take it though.

Beautiful post…and great photos and quotes. Our journey in life is what we make it…we can see the wonder of it all…or complain about the pebbles that get in our shoes. 🙂

So true – The first photo is my own and the spot from where I took the photo led to a rich canyon cave. It made me feel so small and honoured by its beauty.
thanks for coming by – Lesley

Upon reading your post, I was reminded of a conversation my husband and I had just recently. Choosing the right path and wisdom became the focus. We were discussing our earthly fathers and how unlike so many things in life, wisdom cannot be passed from generation to generation. . .Wisdom shall die with you. Job 12:2.
However, throughout life wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7.

Wisdom shall die with you … but what you teach through your actions, art, writing and conversations do live on.
We leave a legacy – we leave a bit of our soul from which those who want to can tap on for their own wisdom-building.
Thanks for your comment. I always love to hear from the wise who know their stuff!

So true, my dear friend! My dad and father-in-law were both VERY wise men. The lessons they taught and principles they instilled will remain for generations to come as long as we keep teaching and applying. Really enjoyed this post and look forward to many, many more!

Francine – what a lovely coincidence. I was just thinking the same of your Purple photo challenge. You found a good one from the movie:
“I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it.”
🙂 thanks
