A self-portrait which reminds me of my vulnerabilities.
… remember that every job is a self portrait of a person who does it. Autograph your work with the excellence you own.
Have a good day all. Back later to go through my weekly digest of posts. Can’t wait!

Thanks Jake! I have been searching for a photo for your theme this week, but alas without a submission again. I lost many of my photos when my computer died (but I still keep coming back to your site just in case I have one or two) 🙂

Like it. But why is art an emotion?

Books & Art - Spirit & Soul - Lesley Fletcher said:
Bumba – I am really glad you asked that. IF you feel no emotion toward a piece of art, whether you like or hate it or love it then the artist has not done their job. When an artist works it is without any other outside disturbances; only a connection between themselves and the page or canvas. That’s why an artist like Picasso for instance draws people into his art. His emotions are so raw, images and colour so vivid that the onlookers can’t help but Feel Something.
I often know exactly how I felt when I painted a piece but couldn’t tell you how long it took nor could I reproduce it the exact same way again. Who feels the same emotional stream twice?

Well explained. And emotion, I think, is only part of the picture. I couldn’t explain it as you do, but that certain someting includes emotion plus other elements.

I can confirm your perception – absolutely there are other elements that are private. That I remember well. Thanks for coming back Bumba. It matters to me.

Art – motion with an e … and so true that each ‘work’ is a self expression, therefore important to autograph with one’s own excellence.
